Job Summary:
The Music therapist is responsible for using music to help individuals improve their physical, emotional, cognitive and social well-being. By assessing the needs and goals of each client, the incumbent will design and implement music therapy to promote healing, growth and overall improvement in their quality of life. The clientele includes adults who may have disabilities or mental health issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Training as evidenced by a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Certification in Music Therapy from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
- Demonstrate/maintain licensure of the country of training.
- Familiarity with research and evidence-based practices in the field of music therapy.
