Job Summary:
Reporting to the Internal Auditor, the Audit Manager is responsible for the accurate conduct of audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, policies and governance processes, the accuracy of financial records and the efficiency of the operations within each department of the Tobago Regional Health Authority.
The Audit Manager is to audit by leading audit teams during all phases of the audit engagements from planning through execution and reporting, providing supervision to the Audit Officers, ensuring timely completion of engagements and ensuring the timely production of accurate and comprehensive working paper documentation and internal audit reports.
The incumbent must audit the processes, internal controls and records of departments and interview workers ensuring compliance with management plans, policies, procedures, regulations and standards. Audits to ensure that the financial statements of the TRHA are prepared accurately in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed either, ACCA, CGA or CPA.
- A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago or the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- Five years’ experience in Internal or External Audit post completion of a professional accounting certification and would have prepared audit plans and audit reports.
